When I bought Bowmore’s Legend my expectations was high. Because when the label states that you're dealing with Bowmore, it is bound to be great, right? No sir. Not this one. It is too young, one dimensional and thin. The complexity that so many other great Bowmore’s holds, is gone with the wind. It has spent time in the legendary No. 1 Vault. So what! I have spent time in a phone booth and that didn't make me superman. Clearly it should have spent more time in your famous vault and with all due respect, I bet you know it Mr. McAffer. Legend is a good example of the growing numbers of NAS bottles that shouldn't have been released.

The nose is lemon, smoke and light peat.

The taste is, as I mentioned, young, not in any good way, one dimensioned and thin, with sweet malt, seawater and bonfire smoke.

The finish is short and peaty.
