Preface:
Elijah Craig was a Baptist minister and the first man in Bourbon history to become Master Distiller. He is credited for discovering the process of maturing whiskey in charred oak barrels. But you properly knew that already, didn't you? Elijah Craig, the brand of Heaven Hills, is one of best bang for the buck bourbons out there.

The nose is amazing. Defiantly one of those, you can sniff for hours. It got tons of toasty oak sweetness upfront, followed by vanilla, toffee and old tanned leather.

The taste is floral, perfectly smooth and sweet, with apple, brown sugar and a hint of dry rye spices.

The long finish is rich with creamy dark chocolate and oak.

I finally found a preacher man that even I can relate to.
