I my case, sourced bourbon whiskey is pretty much unexplored territory.
I have tasted a lot of different independent bottles from Scotland, often with very high quality single malt, but never a sourced whiskey, until know. So I really don't know, what to expect from Smooth Ambler.

The nose on this guy is really enjoyable with sweet peppermint, hazelnut, cinnamon, citrus and toasted oak.

The taste is nicely rounded with caramel, vanilla, apricot and black pepper.

The medium finish slowly presents itself, with strong rye spices, messing around, with a tingling mouth feeling.

I haven't had the opportunity to taste their own distillate "Yearling", but I'm eager to do so and I'm looking forward to follow these guys, in the future.
