Henry Mckenna Single Barrel is a Heaven Hill produced bourbon. This bourbon is aged 10 years and is bottle in bond. For a bourbon to be bottled in bond (BIB) the whiskey must be the product of one distillation season and one distiller at a single distillery, also it must be aged in a federally boned warehouse under U.S. government supervision for at least four years, and it must be bottled at 100 proof.

Henry Mckenna shares the same mash bill as Evan Williams, Elijah Craig, and Fighting Cock. For me Henry Mckenna is a must have bourbon, and I always have a bottle at home. This is one of the best bourbons you can get at $30. 100 proof and aged stated 10 years. You don’t find that much anymore at $30. This is a classic bourbon that is powerful and enjoyable. One that any bourbon enthusiast would enjoy.

Nose:
There is a lot of caramel and maple at first fallowed by peanuts, chocolate, cherry pie, honey, cinnamon and oak!

Palate:
Amazing! Hot at first but fades quickly. Packed with tons of flavor. Peanuts, caramel, pecans, and cherries hit you first, followed by sweet cinnamon, freshly baked rye bread and toasted oak!

Finish:
The finish is quite long. Lots of oak, cinnamon sugar, peanuts and cherries.
