Being a lover of high proof bourbons, I figured it was about time I did a 1792 Full Proof review. 1792 Small Batch was one of the bourbons that really got me into bourbon.

Since I consider Ridgemont Reserve to be one of the bourbons to have really gotten me started, you can imagine how excited I became when I heard there was going to be a full proof version released.

1792 Full Proof is exactly what it sounds like - it's a small batch bourbon that is about 80-100 barrels blended together and then bottled at 125-proof (which is the same proof as when it was put into the barrels). It's also bottled non-chill filtered.

Today I'm reviewing a single barrel version on the 1792 full proof. This barrel was picked by the go folks at Lueken's Liquor in Florida!

Nose:
The nose on this Full Proof is a classic bourbon!  Full of caramel, vanilla, oak, and cinnamon. Then there are light hints of toffee, clove, raisin, and tobacco.

Palate:
The palate is packed full of flavor!  Creamy and buttery!  First thing you get is spicy rye, cinnamon red hots, brown sugar, and vanilla - followed by some nice hints of raisins, buttered sweet corn, cherry-wood, oak, and leather.

Finish:
Finish is long and hot!  Cinnamon, caramel, toasted oak, and burnt sugar!

Overall, great pour!  Love this one!
