Points 82/100.

When I first tasted Rowan's Creek, it came at me pretty hard, with an overwhelming taste of black pepper, which I found a bit over the top. With that in mind, I pour it, and let it sit untouched in the glass, for about 15 min, before tasting it. I must say, that the air has worked its magic. The black pepper has worn down. For that matter, it seems that all the different flavors, are somehow smoother and better married together, bringing the best out in one another, instead of fighting it off.

I must say that this stuff smells fantastic of banana, caramel, vanilla, syrup and spices. It is elegant and balanced, but still bold and brave, with a fruity and spicy taste of honey, caramel, oak and a mouthful of black pepper. The lingering finish with pears and apple is maybe the best part of it.
